Recycle Mobility Equipment with the All Iowa Wheels for the World Drive
Manual wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and canes will be collected from your area April 26-27, 2013. This equipment will give the miracle of mobility to a person with a disability in a country that does not have the resources we have in the United States.
The equipment will be collected at drop-off sites located in each sector of the state by Wheels for the World volunteers. The locations of these drop-off sites can be found at http://www.iowawftw.org/dropsites2013.html. The equipment will then be brought to a central location, loaded onto a truck donated by Wal-Mart, and taken to a correctional facility in Kansas where the inmates will refurbish it. From there the equipment is shipped to countries in Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and South America and distributed to families who have no other way of obtaining mobility equipment.
Questions about donations and drop-off sites: Jan Lamm (jlamm2011@yahoo.com) or 319-551-2576.
All other questions can be directed to: John Barr at BarrJohnO@sau.edu or 319-541-3213
